So here we are at the end of summer. It has ended too quickly. I'm not ready to go back to making lunches and driving kids to school. The kids aren't ready to go back either. The baby will really miss them when they're gone.
She really loves them. One day we set her booster seat up by the piano and she LOVED it!
The Girl Child got spoiled by grandparents and got an outfit for her and her doll. She was super excited about matching.
She also gave a talk on Family Home Evening in primary.
My Dad came back for one day in between my brother's and my sister's to take us to the state fair. We stopped at MC2's sunbeam's teacher's booth to throw fake poop.
They loved all the boards like this as you will see by all the pictures taken by them.
It was such a perfect day. In the 70's with a breeze. Still the kids couldn't resist cooling off.
The baby was a trooper.
We saw the butter cow, a GIANT boar, and saw a show.
MC1 started heckling this guy while he was juggling so he picked him when he asked for volunteers. MC1 didn't even raise his hand when he asked for volunteers. The guy just said, "How about a really cute kid... who likes to talk a lot.... who is wearing a Superman shirt." So MC1 went up. I think we all thought he'd do something short and simple and get off the stage. But he was part of half the show!
Ending like this...
It was pretty funny. MC1 was quite the ham and did everything perfect. He was pretty funny. His arms did get tired though. The guy made him hold them out for a LONG time!
He loved it. Brent said he was born for this moment.
Then we let the kids do a few rides.
Around 3:00 we were done. We were hot, tired, and full of junk food.
As we were walking in the gate of the fair that morning my sister called to say she had had her baby that morning so we also wanted to get my Dad on the road to get to her and her family. The kids weren't thrilled about giving up Grandpa so soon but I explained that Marci needed him.
This is how we looked on the way home...
It was fun to have him here for another day. Now we need to get ready for school to start.
These are two pictures from the baptism I stole off of Facebook from the other two parents. They are much better photographers than I am.
